Telford Learning Support Assistants Required!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to provide classroom and 1:1 support across various schools in Telford!

These role involve working closely with the students to ensure their individual needs are met, both academically and emotionally, in order to facilitate their learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities…

1. Provide tailored academic support to the student in various subjects, ensuring that work remains accessible and engaging.

2. Assist the student with organisation, time management, and study skills to promote independence and self-confidence.

3. Implement strategies and accommodations to address the student's specific learning challenges related to dyslexia and ADHD.

4. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) as needed.

5. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where the student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

6. Monitor and track the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team and parents/guardians.

7. Ensure the student's safety and well-being at all times, both inside and outside the classroom environment.

Requirements…

- Previous experience working with students, some with SEN needs preferable

- Strong understanding of SEN support strategies and interventions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

- Patience, flexibility, and empathy when working with students who may have additional learning needs.

- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or education.

- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) and satisfactory references.
